Stichting Prodas
Stichting Prodas was founded through a fusion of six different schools. The name stands for Primary Education Deurne, Asten and Someren. Around 500 colleagues provide quality, high-level primary education to around 4300 students.
Prodas is made up of 22 schools: 21 for regular primary education and 1 for special primary education. All schools offer individual education policies based on their own concepts and visions. With this, Prodas makes sure that the conditions are optimal to strengthen the quality of the schools.
Before they used to mostly work with books, however that is now changing within the education sector as digitalisering is making a big impact.
Of course the use of high value digital items has increased because of this. Where there used to be a few permanent (usually refurbished) computers at schools, now there’s many devices available: Chromebooks and iPad’s for students, laptops for colleagues and digiboards in each group. The intensity of the use of these devices has also increased drastically. Even though most Chromebooks, iPad’s and laptops in education are children proof, there’s still a lot that manage to break. A lot can be fixed due to the guarantee that is made by the supplier, however what do you do with the devices that are no longer guaranteed?
A trustworthy partner that provides service and client friendliness to the colleagues of Stichting Prodas.
The process of signing up and registering information is clearly communicated with the colleagues of Prodas.
This is how we ended up at NGU Business / Repaircenter: a trustworthy partner that offers service and client friendliness. During our talk at the head office in Eindhoven, we shared our wishes with NGU and the process could begin. There were of course a few points that were important for us: we wanted a workflow for the contact people per school to be able to register defect devices easily. Along with that we wanted fixed repair prices and otherwise a price quote so that we could always make the choice: repair or replace. A portal was made for our organisation very quickly where a colleague from each location was able to register repairs. This contact person also has the ability see the repairs and updates of the concerned school in the archive. As a school ICT project leader I can see the repairs and costs of all schools, useful to be able to identify issues.
The process of signing up and providing information is clearly communicated with the colleagues. The invoice is also easily presented: name and address of the school and the costs are automatically presented on the invoice. It is also clear beforehand what the problem research costs will be and with the repair these costs are not brought into the invoice.
Of course NGU does a lot more than that, they can lead you and help you with the purchase, support and management of smartphones, tablets and other types of hardware. With their unique platform they make the complete purchase and repair process insightful and manageable. In short; we are very happy with NGU as our partner to make sure that education continues with the tools that we use for this purpose, even if there are defects. Therefore we aren’t immediately hit with high costs by having to purchase new materials and the digital items are available for schools without long repair times.
