    Smartphone damage through home contents insurance?

    Did you know that damage to smartphones is most often claimed through home contents insurance? Looking at research we found that more than 18% of smartphone owners have claimed damage through their insurer. Smartphone screens are the most vulnerable parts. Number two in the list are the batteries and in third place we have the backcover of the smartphone.

    No one can go without a smartphone anymore. We are seeing more and more that smartphones and tablets are (fully) replacing laptops and desktops in the long term. What if your client damages their phone by themselves? Is this also insured? We see that insurers and intermediaries are getting more and more damage claims from items such as smartphones and tablets.

    No matter the brand and the type of device, we repair them all. Along with smartphones and tablets we also repair laptops, desktop pc's, Chromebooks and Microsoft Surface tablets. We are NGU, with out repair service, we deliver smiles to the faces of clients.

    Your client, the owner of the device, registers damages to you: the insurer or intermediary.

    One of your colleagues will log into our unique platform and register their damage (repair). Through the NGU pick-up service we will pick the device up from the owner’s home. The device is of course insured as soon as it is on its’ way to our repair location in Eindhoven. After receiving the device, the research begins and we will discuss with your colleague if we can repair the device and what the expected costs will be. We often agree beforehand to repair often damaged parts directly. For the more expensive repairs, your colleague needs to give us approval based on our detailled damage report.

    Follow the status of the repair online

    The client and also colleagues can check the online status of the repair and follow the process. As soon as the device is repaired, the client receives a free return to the address where the device was picked up by the NGU pick-up service. The deductible (if applicable) is settled and collected directly with the customer via our platform. After handling that, you as the insurer or intermediary will automatically receive the rest of the invoice.

    Register, check or modify damage?

    Do your colleagues want to register, check or modify damages? That’s possible! The colleagues can log into our platform and perform the needed activities. Using our platform your colleague can register damages, make analysis of damages, open tickets, give approval for repair, ask for damage reports and lots more. We as NGU have made the complete repair process around (mobile) hardware insightful and manageable for insurers and intermediaries.

    Ready while the customer waits?

    In consultation, the client can wait for their repair to be done. After approval is given, the client can come to our repair center at De Witbogt 9 in Eindhoven with their device. During the repair process the client can enjoy some tasty coffee and free Wifi. We are NGU and with our repair service we put a smile on the faces of our clients.
